 | HIGH TECH GEAR • The patent pending Illuminator is lightweight, hands-free, and rechargeable; providing safety, convenience and security to pedestrians, bicycle enthusiasts and dog walkers. • The Illuminator would provide law-enforcement, rescue, security, and armed forces personnel; mechanics; construction-trades personnel; and the general consumer populace with an effective source of illumination and at the same time free both their hands for the performance of a wide variety of tasks. • The Illuminator would be perfect for tradesman, power outages, emergencies, household tasks, outdoor night-time activities, search and rescue, military, mechanics, police and fire departments and anyone that wants an easier way to get around in dark hard to see areas. • Durable, dependable, and comfortable to wear, the Illuminator would find a wide and enthusiastic reception among consumers in the domestic, recreational, professional, institutional, and international marketplaces. • The lithium battery and components are housed in the water/weather resistant dome. The Illuminator is round with a diameter of approximately 2 inches and a height of ½ inch. • The transparent dome freely rotates 360° degrees as it is held in place by a threaded plastic ring which screws onto the base. • The Illuminator is attached to a band comprised of Lycra* or similar material with a thumb hole which allows the Illuminator to be comfortably worn/ride on the back of the hand. • For close proximity to the object being illuminated, the user has the option to wear the Illuminator on their hand, arm, leg, or hat. • The strength of the lithium battery at 3.7 volts will power four very bright LEDs (light emitting- diodes are semi-conductors and are extremely long lasting and durable compared to incandescent bulbs) that provide a bright “cool” light source. • The unique 360° degree rotating transparent dome allows users /wearers to direct the light forward or backward for illumination not only to see, but also to be seen. The dome can be transparent/clear, transparent green, red or other color depending on the application. • The entire Illuminator is very lightweight and comfortable versatile for any application with a long lasting rechargeable lithium battery that is environmentally geared to reduce battery consumption and waste. • The retail package would include a standard household adapter and charger and a plug-in charger for use with a motor vehicle’s auxiliary power port. The battery may also be charged in a basic utility battery charger. |
